After refilling and adding water, add a shock treatment after a day or two, to increase chlorine levels to the necessary standard. Test the balance of the water by using a pH strip to get it at the right interval.

Replacing filters for your pool is also necessary for the pool’s function. Clean them out along with the pumps, and examine the connections. This will help you determine whether or not your pool has any filter leaks.
